Beauty Department

The Beauty Department at Dysonna On Stage offers exciting opportunities for:

Our classes aim to give beauty students and professionals the skills, knowledge, hands-on experience and motivation they need to pursue their individual goals.  Topics covered include: 

  • Starting a Beauty Career or Salon Business

  • Hair Color

  • Entering a Hair Competition

  • Working With Celebrities

  • Publishing a Hair Book for Your Salon

 

We also work with our students to put on special events throughout the year, including:

  • Hair Shows

  • Beauty Competitions

Dysonna’s beauty classes are designed to instill the self-esteem, determination, and professionalism that builds success in the future. Often becoming role models and mentors, we help our stylists build professional skills and self-confidence by encouraging them not only to learn, but to set and achieve their goals. In fact, our program is so successful, our students can typically make twice as much money as an average stylist and keep their clients for life.

The Dyson way—Chemical Relaxers

Learn the relaxer application system revolutionized by Art Dyson, the late president of Soul Scissors, that swept the country in the 1970s. Apply it faster learn how to read the hair for straighter or curly hair. Learn how to work the different strengths and lets look at the different between brands of relaxers.

Learn how to launch your career in the beauty business. Look at the difference between booth rent and commission and How to get clients and keep them for life. How to creatively manage your business.

You can help spread the word about beauty classes and events at Dysonna On Stage by distributing flyers to your friends, colleagues and co-workers.  Just download the flyers from the below links, print out several copies (double-sided), cut, and distribute by mail or in person.  (If you cannot view the flyers, you may need to download Adobe Reader.)  You can also pick up professionally printed flyers from our front desk during any event or class.

HAIR ON STAGE

Keep an eye out for the on the web site, to find opportunities specifically for beauty students and professionals.  Beauty classes and events are usually offered on Sundays and Mondays in either a morning or afternoon session.
